Volunteer at MAX
Volunteers staff MAX's exhibitions, gallery tours, the Art Walk and its fundraisers. There is room for help with public relations and marketing, special events, exhibitions, the building, and research and grants.
The board
Serve on the board
The board meets on the third Monday of the month at 5:30 pm, serves on a committee, and gives or raises at least $500 a year.

Questions
Can I just walk in?
On the First Saturday of the month, yes: the gallery tour runs 11 am to 3 pm and everyone is welcome. On weekdays MAX is open 10 am to 2 pm by appointment; email info@maxocala.org and same-day visits can often be arranged. Openings and events are open to the public too — see what's on.
Can I buy the art?
Often, yes. Pieces in the online gallery show whether they are available, and each has an “ask about this piece” form that puts you in touch.
Can I watch the artists work?
That is the point of an incubator. The studios are private working spaces, but the First Saturday tour, openings and artist talks are the times to meet the residents and see what they are making.
Do you have classes?
GoFigure figure drawing runs on the first and third Sundays, $10 a session, and MAX artists teach workshops through the year. They are all on the calendar.
Can I hold an event at MAX?
Receptions, celebrations, lectures and community events have all been held at the station. Tell us about yours.
How can I give?
Name a space, sponsor an event or join the Conductor's Club on the donor site. Checks can be made out to The Magnolia Art Xchange, Inc. and mailed to PO Box 9, Ocala, FL 34478-0009.
